Have you ever had a website fail to update images, display “broken” graphics, or keep returning an error even after you’ve reloaded the page?
The cause is almost always the browser cache, which stores temporary files to speed up loading. Often, the quickest solution seems to be clearing your entire browsing history, but that comes with a major inconvenience: signing out of all the websites saved in Chrome.
Fortunately, Google Chrome lets you clear the cache and cookies for just one specific website. Here are the three most effective ways to do this on Windows.
From Chrome’s cache settings (Recommended)

This is the safest method if you want to manage the list of all saved domains or if the site causing problems isn’t currently open.
- Open Google Chrome.
- Paste the following address into the URL bar and press Enter:
chrome://settings/content/all - Use the search bar in the top right to type the website’s name (e.g., facebook.com or amazon.it).
- Click the trash can icon next to the site to delete all stored data, or click the arrow beside it to view the details and select Delete data.

There’s no need to wipe your entire browsing history to fix an issue with a single page. Clearing the cache for just that site will save you the hassle of having to re-enter your login details and preferences on all the other websites you visit every day!
